Profile
We are a high-end luxury ultra-fine cashmere scarf company. We are looking for an intern to assist the design team in the creation of the SS11 collection and the follow up of design collaborations. You will be given the opportunity to manage the development of a design until its final sampling stage and to work closely with production. You will get a great opportunity to experience working with a sustainability driven product of exquisite craftsmanship and integrity.
Role/Responsibilities
Design
- Assist design & production teams in the creation of the SS11 collection
- Assist to create model sheets and draft specifications sheets on Illustrator/Photoshop
- Liaise with production units and factories for the making of prototypes and samples
Research & Studio work
- Identify and contact new potential suppliers; review and update supplier management system; Order samples
- Organise samples and archives of previous and present collections
- Keep up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes; Research new trims and techniques
- General office duties
Skills required
- Excellent written and fluent spoken English. Additional languages a bonus (French, German, Hindi)
- Fashion/textiles/production/accessories student or graduate
- Creative spirit, initiative, enthusiasm and pro-active attitude
- CS4 skills (Photoshop, Illustrator). Hand drawing skills would be a bonus.
