About: We are a leading supplier of mid-market womenswear to various better end UK retailers. All sample development and sales/production coordination takes place in our design studio in Islington, London and all bulk orders are manufactured overseas.

A permanent position has arisen for a Sample Cutter/Sample Room Assistant at a leading womenswear garment supplier to better end mid-market UK retailers.
 
The role requires previous experience cutting a variety of fabrics from chiffons to jerseys quickly and accurately.  Knowledge of accurately estimating garment costings/ratings (in the sense of fabric consumption) is beneficial but can be taught if necessary.
 
Excellent organisational skills are important for this role as maintaining records and coordinating the work of the design studio is vital to ensuring the workflow runs smoothly and efficiently. 
 
The successful candidate will  be working directly with pattern cutters, sample machinists and the sales/production team and will maintain clear communication channels between them.
 
This is a key role to the efficient working of the design room.
