Key Objective:

Work closely with all departments to ensure recommended stock levels are maintained across channels. Become a key integral part of the Merchandising team by effectively and systematically providing accurate information for planning and trading purposes.

Main focus:

To allocate merchandise to the retail stores, maintain correct stock and price records, and provide diverse admin assistance for the Merchandising department, whilst growing knowledge and further developing analytical skills.

Work with Merchandiser on proposed store allocations and implement these in season:

  • Manage stock to minimum display quantity
  • Maintain store inventory levels based on store capacity, seasonality and selling curve
  • Recommend consolidation of broken sizes to best performing locations
  • Report on sales and stock by location, communicating findings
  • Analyse sales at size level and propose revised ratios based on learnings.
  • Run daily reports, prepare background reports for meetings, providing data on ad hoc level.
  • Maintain price records across systems.
  • Maintain accurate data logs across all systems and spreadsheets.
  • Raise Pos and maintain dates according to suppliers Critical Path and business requirements.
  • Authorize bookings to ship and log the correct intake dates on the system.
  • Chase and check invoices, packing lists and required shipment documents.
  • Maintain supplier performance log.
  • Assist wholesale on checking required stock availability and transferring stock on the system

Skills / Experience:

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and aptitude to familiarise quickly with new systems
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities, take personal responsibility and communicate issues
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines, in a fast paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and implement new skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional team working skills
  • Experience in Merchandising and/or retail environment desirable
