As the Photography Sample Assistant, you will oversee and manage the coordination of samples and support the Photography Production team, coordinating samples primarily for ecomm photography but also supporting wider sample requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Handling samples and processing them for ecomm photography, managing sample returns from the studio back into the support hub then to the relevant internal department and general organisation of samples. Some heavy lifting is required.
Supporting wider marketing team on any additional sample requirements – PR , styling team, production or to set up for meeting prep.
Maintain the marketing sample room – keeping rails in order, creating and maintaining a clearly labelled system to ensure this is a workable space
Ensure the sample ordering and delivery is in line with the critical path deadlines.
Manage the sampling process end to end
Document and maintain a tracking system of samples.
Receive new samples into the eCommerce inventory and prepare samples for studio.
Act as the expert on all samples for Ecomm
Support on creating Shoot Packs for photo shoots when required.
Liaise with Buying & Merchandising teams on samples for eCommerce and wider marketing shoots.
Liaise with the Ecommerce trading team to effective online processes.
Ensure photography assets are maximised and each online product has the required correct images attached to maximise product sales and enhance customer journey.
Renaming online product imagery to correct product codes to ensure the correct image is pulling through to the website.
About You:
Commercial / retail experience.
Administratively very strong, organised with excellent attention to detail.
Proactive, ability to prioritise and work well under pressure with good common sense.
Ability to build relationship and work within a fast-paced environment.
Enthusiastic and energetic with the ability to deliver solutions.
Team working skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
High degree of personal drive and the desire for continuous improvement.
Strong interest in fashion, design and contemporary culture.
Genuine interest in the Matalan brand and business.
Knowledge & experience of Google Drive – particularly Google Sheets & Google Slides is desirable
Experience of the administration & production process is desirable
Microsoft Office skills are desirable
