Role Responsibilities

Store Design:

  • Designing new stores, source all required components and project managing shop fits.
  • Compare suppliers for most competitive pricing.
  • Work with contractors to realise designs.
  • Communicating and pushing contractors to ensure all critical path deadlines are met.
  • Design signage and outsource production.
  • Design all instore display including lighting and props.
  • Working out costs and keeping project within budget.
  • Creating critical paths for tradesmen and contractors and ensuring all developments run to deadlines.

Fixture Design:

  • Designing fixtures and collaborating with suppliers to develop and produce units.
  • Creating/ requesting critical paths from suppliers and ensuring all developments run to deadlines.
  • Work out costs and keeping project within budget.
  • Compare suppliers for most competitive pricing.
  • Designing and speccing small fixtures for instore/ on fixture display, outsourcing and managing their production.
  • Communicating and pushing contractors to ensure all critical path deadlines are met.

Window Display:

  • Designing all window displays, sourcing and making props, designing vinyls.
  • Chasing approval on designs from relevant Heads of Departments.
  • Once designs have been approved by relevant Heads of Departments spec all designs and outsource production through suppliers.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure development runs on time.
  • Creating critical paths from suppliers and staff and ensuring all developments run to these deadlines.
  • Visiting stores to install window displays.

Role Expectations

  • To have a full understanding of the design and construction methods used to develop effective products.
  • Attending and leading weekly update meetings with Head of Design and Head of Creative to give clear updates on all design and critical path progression.
  • To be developing cost effective solutions within the budget allocated.
  • To be self-led and self-motivated in developments.
  • To be keeping track of all ongoing projects and developments.
  • To be effectively managing your time, ensuring all deadlines are kept.
  • To be creating realistic critical paths and keeping to the dates listed.
  • To be monitoring and updating progress on projects and adjusting deadlines accordingly.
  • To keep management aware of deadlines changes and development updates.
  • To be a problem solver, finding effective solutions and actioning them.
