The role of Apprentice Customer Service Administrator will include the day-to-day administration of customer service within the business, assisting customers with orders and returns processed through our system AppGMS, sending out stock and booking in deliveries, and providing a variety of accurate reports and information for other departments. Your direct line Manager will be the Customer Service Supervisor and you will work closely with the Operations and Sales teams.

Training provider: New City College, Level 3 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard.  Upon completion of the 18-month Apprenticeship, the Apprentice will be considered for a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

  • Requesting and checking of customer purchase orders, highlighting and resolving any discrepancies ahead of deliveries.
  • Management of stock records on AppGMS
  • Organising stock counts with the warehouse team
  • Coordinating picking and despatch requirements with the warehouse team
  • Booking in deliveries with customers and producing any necessary labels or paperwork if required
  • Creating a variety of reports and sending out weekly stock lists to customers
  • Organising collections of stock and processing returns
  • Creating and maintaining sales target for the sales team
  • Handling complaints or order issues, escalating where necessary
  • Keeping accurate records of information such as customer orders
  • Reconciling seasonal purchase order requirements with Operations Team
  • Administration support for Sales Team
  • Booking in stock into AppGMS

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task
  • Ability to work to timetables and under pressure

Beneficial:

  • Knowledge and experience of customer service would be beneficial
  • Good knowledge and experience with Excel is desirable
