We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Administration Assistant to join our rapidly growing business where your contributions will make a big impact in a fast growing company. 
 
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to provide essential administrative support to the handbag Design Team and be responsible for the smooth running of design admin tasks and the product sample management process.
 
The position is full time and hands on; it will require someone that is hardworking and good at taking direction. Working with a category team leader, you will be liaising with international suppliers and internal teams to ensure samples arrive on time and are managed through the correct channels. You will need to be proactive in responding internally and externally to product information requests and maintaining positive relationships.
 
The selected candidate will have an opportunity to be involved in everything that goes into creating a collection from research, design and sampling to understanding how to work with suppliers and manufacturers. 
 
Responsibilities: 

  • The Design Admin will be required to assist the design team on a day-to-day basis with a variety of tasks such as:
  • Initiate, build and track product on Vision/PLM system
  • Chasing, logging and updating sample trackers within the PLM system
  • Leather swatch management and filing
  • Ensuring the fabric files are kept up to date with all swatches and price lists
  • Chasing suppliers on a daily basis to achieve on time delivery
  • Helping with trend and Inspirational Research
  • Helping to prepare collections for review meetings and presentations
  • Creating and updating Range Sheets
  • Communicating with Suppliers
  • Managing incoming and outgoing samples
  • Maintaining department sample library and general housekeeping 
  • Logging sample invoices and updating sample tracker 
  • Maintaining organization within the department
  • Book team travel arrangements
  • Potential to help designers with specs/colour sheets .

 
Requirements:

  • To be proficient in Excel and have a knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
  • Preferably to have CAD skills and experience
  • Creative thinker with the ability to think outside of the box
  • Have a proactive and forward thinking attitude 
  • Pro-active problem solver
  • Positive Team Player
  • Able to prioritise and works well under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible attitude and commitment to getting the job done
  • Commercial fashion awareness
  • A strong eye for quality and detail  
  • Ability to manage expectations and manage upwards 
  • Premium accessory experience preferred but not essential.
