Caramel Rock is looking for a hardworking, passionate Fashion Assistant. No experience required, and you cannot be in education.
The role involves completing on-the-job training a Level 1 BTEC course that will take 12 weeks. Whilst on the course, we will provide mentorship, goal setting and opportunities to jobs available at Caramel Rock and within our network.
We are looking for someone to join us on a long-term basis and wish to take on board someone who is not only a team player but also someone who is willing to learn.
This role will involve working in a fast-paced industry with an interest in fashion.
We are passionate about helping people use their skills and create their own designs, and we are looking for someone to join our team and help them achieve their goals. To help them, we organise trips to exhibitions, art galleries and museums for them to gain a different experience and for those with deprived home styles to experience cultural opportunities. We are here to help the students to bond and for staff to engage with the students in order to help them develop as individuals.
Throughout the year, your role will include a wrap-around of CPD sessions where you have opportunities to design and make a collection of garments to build up your portfolio. The garments are later showcased in our fashion shows, which are held twice a year, organised by the staff. We develop a number of relationships where we are invited to events such as exhibitions and fashion shows. We collaborate with a variety of popular, up-and-coming stylists, make-up artists, hairstylists, modeling agencies, and magazines, and the role will also include working with external organisations.
