United Nomads is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic student who is passionate about learning more about a busy fashion studio to join the team in London. The purpose of the role is to support the design, product team and atelier across both brands, Caravana and Delos, during the busy seasonal period.
Working at United Nomads provides a varied and exciting learning experience, offering a unique opportunity to work in a multi-brand environment and gain valuable experience that can be applied to future roles and support university studies.
Responsibilities of the Design & Atelier Intern:
Assist the design team with sketches
Assist with creative research responding to a brief
Proficient in Adobe, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator
Create CAD colour-ups using Photoshop
Management of the studio boards to ensure clear communication of running collections
Work amongst pattern cutters and seamstresses in the atelier, assisting with the organisation of the pattern archive and studio materials
Tracing patterns and making small amendments
Measuring pattern and garments accurately
Support the product team with general admin tasks, sample loans and archiving, ensuring the sample tracker remains accurately updated
Support the team with the preparation of design and fit meetings (prepare samples, boards, raw materials, room set-up)
Assisting models during fittings to enable the smooth running of the session without delays
Occasional runner duties
Ad hoc assistance where necessary to support wider teams with events and general studio management
What Caravana is looking for:
A university student pursuing a degree in fashion design
Enthusiastic and keen to learn, with a proactive attitude
Confident with sketching
Confident creating CAD colour-ups using Photoshop
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Personable and approachable
Remains calm in a busy environment

Interview Process:
The first stage interview will be a 15-20 minute video call with a Product team member.
Second stage interview will be a (paid) two-hour trial involving CAD and pattern tracing.
