Starting ASAP, Temperley London is looking for a Design & Product Development Intern is to support the team to achieve its objectives with regards to design, fit, technical quality and standards of manufacture of each product and that they are successfully achieved within a meticulous timeline and to business expectations.
Based within the London team, the Design & Product Development Intern will work closely with the product, design and studio teams, gaining extensive technical knowledge on fit, construction, fabrication, artwork techniques and supplier base.
In return the successful applicant will acquire an in depth understanding of the fashion industry, building seasonal collections and developing product through each sampling stage from prototype to final pre-production sign
Responsibilities of the Design & Product Development Intern:
Provide vital administrative support to the Product Development Team, assisting in any and all functions of the department
Work alongside the Design Director on projects witj our licencing partners
Ensure rangeplan is updated cosistently thorughout the design process with any updated from the dedign team
Build and maintain stong communication with the various product departments;design, studio, production
Participate in fit meetings alongside the design and studio teams, taking down dictated notes on fit and construction
Assist in updating detailed technical specification packs post fit meetings, relaying notes and imagery information for both Temperley studio and factory communication
Maintain sample management in the relevant seasonal documents throughout the seasons, liaising with factories to follow progress and recording samples that arrive in and out of the department
Accurate measurement and preparation of samples prior to fit meetings;
Manage courier shipments leaving the Product Development department alongside our logistics manager
Support Product Development team with raising sampling Purchase Orders
Organisation and budget management of model bookings for fit meetings
Supporting the Product Development team and Studio in the run up to Lookbookshoots and Fashion Week presentations
