Mission:

We have a space for a talented and creative undergraduate to be part of the world's premier sports brand and gain valuable insights as part of the Design Studio team. As the Brand Design Intern, you will play a key role in supporting Nike in bringing innovation and inspiration to every athlete* in the world; you will support the London Creative Studio as it continues to develop and strengthen the Nike brand across the UK. 

The London Studio focuses on product launches and campaigns that go through the line, working on concept and execution against videos, retail and advertising campaigns. The role will be varied and will involve working on energy and high-touch marketing, events and tactical executions on the ground. 

You will manage design processes to ensure deliverables and timelines are met. In addition, you will provide ideas that influence, increase and enhance Nike Brand Design and initiate and drive "best practices". The work will be varied and fun, and the expectation is to create and bring new experiences and solutions to the Nike brand.

The internship is for candidates that are on their placement year in University/or they have a year in industry as part of their course. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver against goals that align with the department and Global Brand design function goals.
  • Create original and innovative content ensuring that all marketing communication is aligned with our strategy
  • Problem solving through design.
  • Originate creative ideas.
  • Create original and creative presentation decks.
  • Provide general support to the studio team.
  • Support tactical and strategic direction as well as deliver high quality concepts and solutions at every stage of the creative process. 

Key development areas:

  • You will be given real roles and responsibilities that call upon all your learnings both in and out of university.
  • Potential to attend photoshoots, events, fact finding trips etc.
  • Gain a deeper understanding of how Design is a power tool within the organisation.
  • Be exposed to all different types of briefs and projects.
  • Learn the power of team building and networking within the organisation.

Core competencies:

  • Currently undertaking an undergraduate degree at a UK University is a pre-requisite
  • A working knowledge of Adobe CS and Keynote.
  • Good drawing or visualisation skills.
  • Good communication skills; you need to be able to articulate your ideas and design concepts clearly to internal and external audiences.
  • A knowledge of Nike or sport and sneaker culture.
  • Experience in many different mediums, from communication and advertising to retail and digital - with a strong conceptual process that drives the work.HOW TO APPLY
