About: A brand new opportunity has arisen at Julien Macdonald! Julien Macdonald is a luxury Womenswear and Mens fashion brand, famous for its red carpet dressing.

We are currently offering a Student Work Placement for a hardworking individual to assist with all aspects of the daily running of the PR and Marketing department.  The role is very hands-on as the candidate will be working closely with the team,providing administrative support where necessary.  During your Work Placement you will have the chance to be a part of the  PR and Marketing team during the LFW .

Responsibilities will include:
 
PR:

  • Collaborating on editorial press requests
  • Liaising with stylists for VIP dressing
  • Writing Press releases

Marketing:

  • Support  with presentations and social media
  • Research as and when required from design,celebrities,bloggers
  • Support with image research 
  • Comparative shops
  • Assist with the organisations and preparation of itineraries for all events and brand collaborations

Social Media:

  • Ensure website is regularly updated with recent press articles and celebrity dressing
  • Support Brand manager with social strategy
  • Assist with collating JM content for sign off by our soical media team
  • Creat in-house content from short films to images

Events:

  • Support Brand manager with all areas of organisation for LFW Show;
  • Guest list
  • Invitations
  • Seating Plan
  • Sponsorship ,reseach contacts
  • Credit sheets
  • Booking and briefing suppliers
  • Raising PO's and Budgets
  • Mocking up artwork
  • Researching talent to be invited
  • Assist with styling influential guests for the show
  • Support with guest list at the afterparty
  • Support with other events e.g. press events,press days,launch events

Admin:

  • Managing showroom and stock
  • Assist with Julien's diary and travel arrangements
  • Manage central drive and ensure all documentation is filed correctly
  • Booking and managing couriers
  • Updating press and stylist database
  • Any ad hoc duties

The ideal candidate should be:

  • Professional and enthusiastic in their approach toany work given.
  • Highly flexible,self-motivated and adabtable in high paced environments.
  • Excellent at timekeeping and organisation
  • Interested in Fashion and PR
  • Computer literate on Microsoft office and Adobe creative suite

What you will learn / we will teach you:

  • The importance of  PR and a brands relationship
  • We will teach you about the Celebrity dressing process.
  • How an initial idea is manifested and implicated from start to finish.
  • How to priorities and manage time efficiently during busy perios within the studio.
  • How a fashion studio runs and how to be part of a team in an office enviornment
