About: Hotel Sensuelle Studio (HSS) is a design studio working across image-making, spatial environments, and material-led storytelling.

We build worlds through sets, garments, and objects — where each element is developed with intention, from surface to structure — extending into moving image and art direction across digital and physical touchpoints.

Our work explores the tension between the physical and the imagined, constructing images that feel both familiar and unreal.

Hotel Sensuelle Studio is seeking a Studio Intern to join our team in West London.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone interested in creative production, set design, material exploration, and visual storytelling. Working closely with the studio team, you will support a variety of projects across art direction, design, production, research, and image-making.

Responsibilities of the Studio Intern:

  • Assisting with creative productions, photoshoots, and studio installations
  • Supporting set building, prop making, fabrication, sewing, and prototyping tasks
  • Conducting visual, cultural, and material research for ongoing projects
  • Sourcing materials, props, garments, and production resources
  • Preparing presentations, moodboards, and project materials
  • Organising studio inventory, samples, equipment, and day-to-day studio operations

What Hotel Sensuelle is looking for:

  • A positive attitude, is reliable, and eager to learn
  • Organised, proactive, and enjoys problem-solving
  • A strong interest in art, design, fashion, culture, and storytelling
  • Enjoys working both with their hands and developing ideas
  • Sewing skills and is comfortable working with textiles and materials
  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively
  • Based in London and available to work in person
  • Experience with fabrication, model-making, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, or other hands-on creative skills is beneficial.

Above all, we are looking for someone with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to get involved. Technical skills can be developed, but attitude, initiative, and care are what matter most.

This role is ideal for students, graduates, and emerging creatives looking to gain hands-on experience within a narrative-led design studio working across creative direction, set design, visual storytelling, and image-making.

This is a part-time freelance role, reviewed on a month-to-month basis depending on studio projects and workload.
