About: After graduating from The London College of Printing with a BA Journalism, Henry Holland was catapulted into the fashion limelight in 2006 with his irreverent ‘Fashion Groupies’ slogan tees featuring catchphrases such as “UHU Gareth Pugh” and “Get Your Freak On Giles Deacon”. In February 2008, after 2 seasons showing with Fashion East, House of Holland held its first solo show on the main Fashion Week schedule to critical acclaim with the brand consequently winning the ‘Best Use of Tartan Award’ at the Scottish Fashion Awards. House of Holland are offering a Student Work Placement Internship for an enthusiastic Student to join our sales team part time, assisting in day-to-day tasks whilst gaining experience of working in a fast paced luxury environment.  The successful candidate must have excellent attention to detail and be confident in their ability to communicate effectively accross various platforms.  Willingness to develop and learn about this department is essetial.
 
What you will be doing:

  • Maintaining the showroom merchandise to a high standard during sales periods
  • Styling and dressing the models in appointments 
  • Working with the sales manager coordinating the flow of buyers appointments
  • Assist in sample Management and racking across production and sales teams
  • Conduct Market research collating data (UK and International) 
  • Liasing with web and PR teams on in season placements and social features 
  • Data entry, order entry and general administration support to the sales manager
  • Assist in putting together visual reports and customer selections (In design or photoshop knoweldge is a plus) 
  • Fashion week preparation, and  support to all departmenst maybe required on the day of show  

Candidates must posses:

  • High computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint & Word (Photoshop is a plus) 
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with high verbal and written English language profiency 
  • Enthusiastic and positive 'can do' attitude

What you will learn / we will teach you:

  • A range of sales and communication skills from a Luxury designer brand.
  • Brand Managemnt and relationship building
  • Gain experience communicating with overseas and local suppliers 
  • Learn the ins and outs of Wholesale including sales, production and design procedures
  • Be aware of the critical paths in Sales 
  • An opportunity to work backstage at London Fashion Week.
