About: Great Plains is a British Fashion brand, based in London. We are a design lead brand that sells our range predominately through Boutiques across the country, as well as through our website. Great Plains is a womenswear brand that aims to create a must-have collection of high-quality basics alongside contemporary fashion-inspired styles. Celebrating comfort, style and premium quality through effortlessly on-trend collections. With a focus on feminine separates, versatile dresses and our much-loved knitwear, we strive to create a capsule wardrobe for the modern woman who loves to experiment with contemporary fashion trends, but is not dictated by them.

This is a Fashion Design Work Placement for University students undertaking their industry work placement.   Great Plains is a fantastic brand to work for, with a focus on classic and fuss-free clothes that always have a feminine touch.  We work hard to achieve cohesive and commercial collections, and to improve and grow sales season on season.

Our Design team is small and friendly.  The student will have a very hands-on role, and they would have the opportunity to experience a full array of tasks within their time at the company. They will naturally become an important and valued member of our team over the 6 months they are with us.

All departments work closely across the brand, making it a brilliant chance to learn from other departments (such as Production/ Pattern Room/ QA/ Buying/ Press/ Sales etc), as well as design. This means the student will get a ‘true experience’ of the fashion industry, and a wider understanding of what it really takes to make a fashion collection happen!
