Stephen Walters is looking for an Account Manager to join the team Sudbury, Suffolk.

Working within a tight knit team at the very heart of the business, the Account Manager will provide a vital link between internal manufacturing and innovation, (partnering with all teams in the mill), and external customers (promoting the seasonal collection with our international clients and developing new fabrics).  No two days will be the same, but the successful applicant will be working within a supportive group in an environment with a real emphasis on shared values and continuous improvement.

This is an opportunity to be the face of Stephen Walters and develop exceptional relationships to deliver sustainable, profitable growth through new business development within existing customers, new customers and new territories.

Responsibilities of the Account Manager:

  • Help showcase what the company can do to both internal teams and customers. You’ll also be responsible for growing the market, building strong customer relationships, and managing how we sell our products, including working with agents.
  • Develop a great understanding of our markets, using intelligence to develop a strategic sales plan maximising opportunities and mitigating risks.
  • Actively involved in product development, innovation and improvements across the business.  
  • Most importantly, you will be responsible for maintaining the high standards of service, providing our customers with the best solutions to their needs.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Flexibility to travel internationally as required.

Beneficial:

  • Sales experience with Key Account Management.
  • Experience of developing new business with a customer centric approach.
  • Experience at setting and managing a budget. 
  • Knowledge of the textiles industry, with design skills, and technical knowledge of fabric and weaving construction.
