We are seeking a talented and proactive Assistant Designer to join our friendly team in Canary Wharf, working on seamless athleisure, underwear, and cut-and-sew styles.

Reporting to the Designer and Head of Product, the Assistant Designer will play a crucial role in supporting the design and development of innovative collections for both branded and white-label projects.  Collaborating closely with the in-house team and global partners to bring products to life, the successful applicant will assist in creating and developing collections, ensuring designs meet our brand’s high standards for quality, functionality, and style.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of seasonal collections, covering seamless athleisure, underwear, and cut-and-sew styles.
  • Conduct trend and market research to propose new concepts, shapes, colors, and details.
  • Create detailed technical packs using Adobe Illustrator, including measurements, technical drawings, and construction details.
  • Work closely with our factory in China on material sourcing, trim development, and sample production.
  • Collaborate with the Designer and Head of Product to ensure designs meet technical and aesthetic requirements.
  • Participate in fit sessions, take detailed notes, and communicate adjustments to the factory.
  • Measure garments, manage size charts, and maintain high-quality standards throughout the development process.
  • Prepare packaging, labeling, and seasonal selling materials such as linesheets and lookbooks.
  • Coordinate and organize samples for photoshoots and plan outfits for campaigns.
  • Work across teams, supporting e-commerce, wholesale, and other business areas as needed.
  • Get involved in ad hoc tasks, such as assisting at events, trade shows, or meetings with buyers.

Profile:

  • Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year's experience designing activewear, underwear, or similar categories.
  • Strong knowledge of seamless technology and garment construction
  • Some experience in cut-and-sew styles.
  • Proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop and Excel.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Passionate about fashion, with a keen eye for trends and technical innovation.
