About: CP International Clothing is an award winning Supplier to the UK, European and Australian High Street, focusing on Men’s, Women’s and Childrenswear. 

Established in 1988, we specialise in Woven Shirts, but we have been expanding our business into new woven product categories such as Swim Shorts, Casual Trousers and Light Outerwear.  Our Head Office is in Bishops Stortford and we also have a Design Studio which is situated on Tabernacle Street in Shoreditch, London. We also have offices overseas in Hong Kong.

We offer and provide our customers with design and product support, from concept, through to design and garment production. Working closely alongside our manufacturing partners Craigwood, who deliver finished, high quality garments in store.

Here at CP Clothing, we are hiring and looking to support a Fashion Design Graduate take their first steps into the industry.  Focusing on Menswear, we are looking and enthusiastic, self-motivated graduate designer who has a keen eye for fashion, trends and is eager to learn.

We're currently expanding our office’s here in the UK and are imminently opening up a brand new studio situated in Clifton at the heart of Bristol’s City Centre. 

This entry-level role will give the right graduate the opportunity to learn and develop new skills within a small, yet fast paced environmentt, focusing on products such as Shirting, Swim, Casual Bottoms and Light Outerwear.

As suppliers, we have a great opportunity for travel (when permitted) for forecasting seasonal trends, inspiration along with development trips.

The role:

  • With an emphasis on casual, lifestyle brands, assist the Design and Account Manager in design and design studio responsibilities.
  • Assisting the Design and Account Manager in the day to day running of the studio
  • On a weekly basis you will be required to assist in research, development and product design
  • Target individual clients with concept and vintage shopping, trend and colour research, CAD design, fabric and print development
  • Work alongside the inhouse print and fabric teams in Bristol, London and in our Hong Kong partner office.
  • Daily involvement and customer liaison, dealing with customer requests and liaising with the manufacturers to reach all deadlines given to you.
  • In addition, there will also be the opportunity to work on a CP ‘In House’ collection, alongside customer briefs.

  • Enjoy trends, men’s fashion and wants to learn / work in the commercial side of the industry
  • A fast, ambitious learner who is able to work at pace
  • Confidence to be able to present and deliver opinions and ideas
  • Organised and willing to be responsible in the day to day running of the studio
  • Confidence to quickly understand and deliver commercial styles for fashion and core that will appeal to our clients and beyond will be vital for this role
  • Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills
  • Ability to travel to London when required

Desired

  • InDesign, Excel and PowerPoint skills
