Reporting into the Senior Brand Designer, you’ll be working alongside other designers and copywriters, while collectively working with the wider Creative team. You’ll be responsible for generating conceptual ideas and polished executions that meet Ted Baker’s exacting standards. 
 
Working closely with the Marketing and Digital teams, you’ll need to know the ins and outs of design best practice and how to create engaging concepts that are on-brief, and on brand. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment - having the ability to work on multiple briefs and confidently presenting ideas back to the business. 
 
Ted Baker’s looking for someone that brings enthusiasm and confidence to the business with a proactive approach to pushing the brand’s creativity further. Above all, you’ll need to be a guardian of what makes something feel on-brand, delivering engaging and clever ideas that reflect and enhance the brand in global markets. 
  
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Skills In creative idea generation, layout, typography, and photography 
  • Mentoring and working closely with the Junior Brand Designer 
  • Ability to respond to any given briefs and to generate ideas and research into the relevant areas In order to bring new Ideas to the table 
  • Maintain a good level of communication with the Head of Brand Creative - Digital & Brand Design/ Senior Brand Designer 
  • Ability, if required, to place orders with printers and suppliers and ensure a full print spec is given to ensure no complications or misunderstandings take place 
  • Confident in communication with external companies 
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively and manage a range of products 
  • Areas you will need to be able to work within are as follows: 
    • Idea concept generation 
    • Branding and identity 
    • Creative deck proposals 
    • Instore POS, graphics and signage 
    • Product branding 
    • Direct mailers and postcards 
    • Large format graphics and windows 
    • Digital layouts and execution 
    • Social content and assets

 
TOOLS OF THE TRADE:

  • Strong level of experience within Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.
  • Excellent skills in typography and layout 
  • Highly experienced in ideas generation 
  • Strong visualisation skills 
  • Good understanding of print, production, and digital processes 
  • Maintaining brand consistency across all projects 
  • Meticulous attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage and organise briefs 
  • Experience briefing illustrators, photographers, artworkers
