Anception, a start-up premium athleisure brand for women, is looking for a freelance hands-on Brand Marketing Manager to lead creative and brand output end-to-end — from strategy and storytelling through to the finished campaign. This is a broad, build-it role: you'll set the creative direction, produce the assets, run the social and CRM channels that bring it to life, and manage the partnerships and budget behind it. You'll be joining pre-office, working remotely with the founding team, with the expectation that the role — and your involvement in shaping how the brand shows up day to day — grows as we do.
The successful applicant will have a genuine opportunity to shape the brand's creative and marketing function from an early stage, with the role evolving as the company grows into an office.
This is a UK-based, remote working role with flexible hours — moving to an office once the team grows.
What the Brand Marketing Manager will do:
Own brand strategy, positioning and tone of voice, and make sure it comes through consistently across every channel and touchpoint, especially pre-launch.
Lead creative campaigns from concept to delivery — briefing, art direction, photography/styling where needed, and production of assets for ecommerce, retail, print, CRM and social
Build and run our organic and paid social strategy, using audience insight and performance data to drive engagement and conversion
Develop storytelling that connects — campaign narratives, product launches, and content that reflects the brand's personality and values
Manage brand and influencer/talent partnerships, and build relationships with press, stakeholders and agency partners
Own CRM and email marketing, building journeys that turn one-off customers into repeat ones
Plan and deliver retail/POS, signage and print production where the brand shows up physically
Manage the marketing budget and work cross-functionally with product, ecommerce, retail and commercial teams to take launches from concept through to customer
Track campaign performance and use the data to keep improving — engagement, conversion, and ROI
What Anception is looking for:
A minimum of 3 years' experience within a booming activewear brand in the UK
Experience of executing marketing campaigns successfully
Willingness to work across various sectors within the business
Proven experience leading brand or marketing campaigns end to end, ideally within fashion, lifestyle, beauty, wellness or another premium consumer category
A strong creative eye alongside commercial instinct — you can direct a shoot and read a performance dashboard
Hands-on experience across social media strategy, content and paid campaigns
Confidence managing partnerships — talent, influencers, press or agencies
Familiarity with CRM/email platforms, e.g. Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ecommerce/CMS, e.g. Shopify, and core marketing/analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Google Ads)
Comfortable working autonomously in a remote, early-stage environment — this role will involve building processes as much as running them
Experience managing a budget
Based in the UK.
Some experience managing or briefing a small team or freelancers/agencies is a plus.
