The Idle Man is one of the fastest growing menswear companies in the UK.  We’re a small team based in East London with a hunger to disrupt fast fashion by selling and creating clothes that we would wear. We’ve made huge investments to the Company over the past couple of years - we’ve redesigned our own label range to improve the quality and durability, we’ve re-platformed our site to improve the customer experience and we’re working had to become a sustainable menswear company.

Reporting to the COO, this role will be working in-house creating original, highly engaging content targeted at our demographics. You will help plan and execute the content strategy ensuring the highest quality of content is delivered on brand and on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Photography: You'll be a visionary when it comes to creating content. Working from our brand guidelines, you'll interpret and create amazing content on photoshoots.
  • Studio; You’ll be a deft hand in our studio in East London, helping on shoots and coming up with your own shoot ideas to create new content. You’ll know your way around a DSLR and be able to come up with creative moodboards for trends and content execution.
  • Social Media; You’ll be required to help create the content we push across our channels. Working with our Graphic Designer, you’ll need to deliver content according to our detailed content calendar across multiple channels.
  • Blog; we have a huge blog that gets 2 million unique hits a month. You’ll be able to come up with ideas for engaging articles and help us shape the future of the platform.
  • You’ll have your finger on the pulse when it comes to fashion - you’ll know the trends and be able to spot future trends.
  • We’ve spent a lot of time optimising our emails to increase conversion rate and engagement. You’ll run with this and help us execute the vision of our emails from our detailed content plan. You’ll work with our Graphic Designer to ensure that our exceptional email quality and engagement continues.
  • You’ll ensure content delivers against our KPIs, specifically; increasing visits to the site, engagement and ultimately sales.
  • You’ll be able to analyse the performance and metrics of all our content and present this information to our COO. From here, you’ll work as a team to glean actionable insights from our content and reshape the content plan going forward.
  • You’ll ensure the brand style guide is stuck to by all staff and contributors
  • You’ll oversee the recruitment of necessary staff and intern positions, ensuring they are the right fit for the company
  • You’ll be able to track the daily progress of all in-house team members

Skills & experience:

  • Previous photography experience required - experience with fashion a huge plus. You must have a portfolio to share!
  • Experience managing and inspiring a team
  • Experience with Adobe (Photoshop, Indesign)
  • Experienced in multi-channel publishing, especially social and mobile.
  • Connected and able to attract the right talent and contributors to the team.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Target driven and comfortable with accountability.
