About: Rachel Boston is an award-winning Ceremony and Bespoke fine jewellery company based in Shoreditch, East London. Specialising in modern Deco and engagement rings, we champion British craftsmanship. All of our pieces are made start to finish in the UK using recycled metals and ethically sourced stones.

Rachel Boston is looking for a creative, motivated, independent Content Creator & Social Media Manager with a sharp visual eye to join our team on Redchurch Street, Shoreditch.

The Content Creator & Social Media Manager will shape Rachel Boston's digital presence with creative content that’s interesting, fun, and informative, while striking a sophisticated balance between relevant online trends and original, brand-led content.  Alongside content creation, the successful applicant will manage the content calendar across our social platforms, ensuring our presence remains consistent in both posting frequency and tone of voice, primarily across Instagram and TikTok.

Although reporting directly to the founder, the role suits someone who can understand and interpret the Rachel Boston vision and translate it into content with minimal guidance – having the confidence to take ownership of the brand’s social presence, whilst knowing when to bring ideas and decisions to Rachel.

This is a four-day-per-week in-office position.  The successful applicant can choose the days, but they should ideally remain the same once chosen.

Responsibilities of the Content Creator & Social Media Manager:

Content Creator:

  • Conceptualise, plan, film and edit reels/TikToks and other mobile social content (2-4 reels a week)
  • Find appropriate music to use with reels/TikToks
  • Daily IG stories showing quick product images/videos with links to product pages
  • Keep an eye on relevant editing styles/formats that could work for the RB brand without feeling overly trend-led

Social Media Manager:

  • Planning, scheduling and posting all social media for the Rachel Boston Instagram (via. Planoly) and TikTok accounts. We aim to post on both Instagram and TikTok feeds 6 times a week.
  • Writing captions for each post that is in line with the Rachel Boston tone of voice, typically including informed knowledge of the stones and metals of each piece featured
  • Keeping up to date with new Instagram/TikTok features and strategising ways to use these relevantly
  • Monitor social performance and use insights to inform future content
  • Track growth, engagement and content performance
  • Identify which content formats/topics/products perform best
  • Monitoring and responding to comments, and knowing when something needs to be passed to Rachel/the wider team
  • Develop and evolve the social strategy alongside the brand

What Rachel Boston is looking for…

Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in social media, content creation, photography, videography or a similar field.
  • Proficient in social-first video editing software.
  • A strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok, including current formats, features and best practices.
  • A sharp eye for composition and visual aesthetics, with an instinct for keeping imagery and content fresh and interesting.
  • Excellent written skills, with the ability to adapt copy to the Rachel Boston tone of voice.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage a content calendar and consistently work to deadlines.
  • Confident working independently, taking content from initial concept through to filming, editing and publication.
  • Proactive and naturally curious, with an instinct for identifying relevant trends, content opportunities and new ways to present the brand.
  • An understanding of social media analytics and the ability to use performance insights to inform future content.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with product information and jewellery terminology.

Beneficial:

  • Experience or working knowledge in fine jewellery.
  • Understanding of refined jewellery language – this can be taught.
  • Professional photography skills.
  • Experience creating content for a luxury, fashion, jewellery or other visually-led brand.
  • Comfortable filming content on your own hands, ears, wrists and neckline.
  • Experience using social media scheduling and planning platforms such as Planoly.
  • CapCut skills.

What Rachel Boston offers:

  • 4 days per week at our office space on buzzing Redchurch Street.
  • A permanent, part-time contract with a 3-month trial period.
  • Competitive annual wage.
  • 28 days per year pro rata, with an additional company Christmas break.
  • Working in a dynamic environment with scope for growth within the company.
  • Working alongside a friendly, small team led by Rachel.
