ShootLab is looking for a talented, creative, curious Content Creator & Social Media Producer passionate about creating content that helps organisations and brands tell their stories to join our creative network.

We are a commercial video production & photography studio creating high-quality visual content for a wide range of organisations, brands and creative clients. We are looking for someone who understands how to transform professional imagery and video into engaging, social-first content that helps audiences connect and engage.

This role is not about traditional content creation from scratch; you’ll generally have access to professionally produced photography and video assets and will be responsible for spotting the stories, trends and social opportunities within them. 

We’re looking for someone who can see beyond the final image and understand how one shoot can become a stream of engaging content: Reels, TikToks, behind-the-scenes stories, campaigns and ongoing brand storytelling.  This role would suit someone who enjoys variety and wants to work across different projects, audiences and creative challenges.

This is a fully remote freelance opportunity with the potential to work across both ShootLab’s own social channels and our clients’ ongoing content requirements.

The role of Content Creator & Social Media Producer

Working closely with the ShootLab team to help plan, create and deliver engaging social media content, including:

• Creating Instagram Reels, TikToks and short-form video content.
• Repurposing professional photography and video assets into social-first formats.
• Developing creative content ideas, trends and concepts.
• Identifying strong hooks, storytelling angles and opportunities for engagement.
• Planning content calendars and scheduling posts.
• Writing engaging captions and supporting brand storytelling.
• Keeping up to date with social media trends and platform changes.
• Reviewing content performance and suggesting improvements.

Client Content Opportunities:

What ShootLab is looking for:

• Proven experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok and other social platforms.
• Strong understanding of social-first storytelling and what drives engagement.
• Excellent eye for photography, video and visual communication.
• Can identify the strongest moments within existing content and turn them into compelling social posts.
• Confident filming and editing short-form video using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva or similar.
• Understands how organisations and brands can use social media to build awareness, engagement and community.
• Organised, reliable and comfortable working independently.
• Experience managing content calendars and multiple projects.
• Experience within photography, video, marketing, communications, creative industries or brand content is a plus.
