About: We are a London-based vintage and reworked clothing retailer selling only the finest handpicked pieces from around the world. Meeting on a night out at University, we set up Vintage Threads after identifying a gap in the vintage clothing market for refined affordable clothes from a company people can relate to, engage with and trust.

Our aim is to provide the most unique hand-picked vintage clothing to a global customer base, all at a reasonable price with first class service. We specialise in a combination of old school sportswear and 80s & 90s designer pieces, showcasing items from a wide range of brands, including Nike, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Fendi, YSL, Prada, Gucci and many many more…

With sustainability at the core of our brand, we also love giving clothes that we find on our travels that have minor defects a whole new life through our hand-stitched VT Rework collections.

Each VT Rework collection is made entirely from damaged items and discarded materials.

We’re Vintage Threads, one of the fastest-growing vintage clothing companies in Europe, offering our customers 70 new handpicked vintage items every day.

Having recently moved into our new studio in Hackney, East London, our HQ is the hub of our online business as well as being open for private shopping appointments.

We are looking for a Content Studio Assistant to help us with a number of different content creation elements of the business, such as recording and editing videos, editing photos to be used for Instagram and generally getting involved in creating content on a daily basis to be used on all social channels and emails.

The role will also require general tasks on a daily basis such as :

  • Scheduling products to go live on the website using Shopify
  • Taking photos of the clothes on hangers
  • Packing parcels
  • Steaming clothes

Everyone gets involved in the general tasks and then specialises in their specific role.

What We Can Offer

We are a really sociable team, having 2 Founders working full time, a Studio Manager and two Studio Assistants.  You will get great hands-on experience of how an e-commerce business runs and scales.

Having experienced some rapid growth over the last 18 months we have huge growth targets for the next 12 months and are looking for the right person to join us for the journey.

Creating a more sustainable fashion industry is something we are incredibly passionate about.  We really do love running our business and pushing the limits of what a vintage company can do.  Our team has grown nicely over the last year and we would love to welcome someone that fits our values to help our business grow!

What We Are Looking For

1) Ideas - Being surrounded by incredible unique clothes gives us a chance to create some really fun content around these pieces as we tell the stories of the wacky items we pick up. We want someone who is comfortable bringing ideas to the table and able to execute them via photography and photoshop/illustration skills. A lot of the time we will be shooting product photos and editing them for an Instagram post or creating a banner to go on the website to promote a new collection.

2) Experience - We’re currently shooting new items every day for our website shoot and so we need someone who is comfortable editing images and bringing ideas to the table

3) Passion - Our team are all vintage clothing lovers and everything that surrounds the culture of vintage, from the sustainability drive of the business, to the unique pieces we pick up and the exciting reworked pieces we create. We want someone who shares our passion and wants to help grow VT to the business we know it can be!

4) Attitude - Whilst we don’t expect everyone to know everything from day one, the successful candidate needs to bring a good attitude to the role, being open to learning new things, bringing good vibes and also helping others learn skills you can pass on
