About: Cybersweetie is a London-based occasionwear brand creating distinctive, nostalgic and highly crafted dresses inspired by 90s and 2000s fashion, pop culture and femininity.

Founded by two sisters, we are building a recognisable brand world where our visual identity, campaigns, social media and customer experience feel consistent and connected.

As we grow internationally, we’re looking for someone who can help us reach the right customer, strengthen our brand identity and drive commercial growth.

Cybersweetie is looking for a freelance Creative Content Storyteller to join the team in London.

The successful applicant will develop creative concepts for Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant channels, turning product launches, campaigns, cultural references, and everyday brand moments into content people want to watch, save, share, and shop from – taking ideas from concept → planning → filming → editing → publishing, so you should be as excited about making things happen as you are about coming up with the initial idea.

As part of a small and growing team, the Creative Content Storyteller have the opportunity to contribute ideas, experiment and play a meaningful role in developing Cybersweetie’s creative and storytelling language.  This is a hands-on creative role for someone who understands that great brand content is more than simply making something look good.

This role will initially be offered on a freelance/contract basis, with the potential to develop into a longer-term position.

What the Creative Content Storyteller will be doing:

  • Developing original creative content concepts across Instagram, TikTok and other relevant platforms
  • Turning product launches, campaigns and brand moments into engaging stories
  • Creating content that builds desire around our dresses by communicating the story, feeling and world behind the product
  • Developing scripts, hooks, storylines and concepts for short-form video
  • Taking ownership of ideas from concept and planning through to filming, editing and publishing
  • Filming, directing, editing and sourcing content or assets where required
  • Identifying cultural moments, trends and references that can naturally be translated into the Cybersweetie world
  • Helping develop a recognisable visual and storytelling language across our social channels
  • Contributing to content planning and the wider social calendar
  • Reviewing content performance and using those insights to develop stronger future ideas
  • Working alongside the wider creative and marketing team to ensure everything feels cohesive with the brand
  • Who we’re looking for:
  • You’re creatively minded, culturally curious and highly proactive. You naturally notice things — a scene in a film, an old campaign, a styling detail, a TikTok format, a moment from 2000s pop culture — and immediately start thinking about what you could do with it.

What Cybersweetie is looking for:

  • A strong instinct for what makes content engaging
  • A genuine interest in fashion, occasionwear and visual culture
  • Knowledge of 90s and 2000s fashion, pop culture and nostalgia
  • Strong visual taste and an eye for styling, composition and creative direction
  • Genuine knowledge of 90s and 2000s fashion, film, pop culture and nostalgia
  • Ability to reinterpret those references in a way that feels current rather than simply recreating the past.
  • An understanding of why an idea will resonate with an audience, how to build a story around a product, and how to take that idea from concept through to something that actually gets made.
  • Strong storytelling and copywriting skills
  • A strong understanding of fashion and visual culture
  • Confidence developing creative concepts independently
  • The ability to take an idea and actually make it happen
  • Experience creating content for Instagram and TikTok
  • An understanding of how to make fashion feel desirable without making content feel overly commercial
  • Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple creative ideas at once
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding that great creative content should ultimately contribute to the growth of the brand
  • Experience creating fashion, beauty or lifestyle content is a plus – creative instinct, taste and self-directed work matter to us just as much as traditional experience.

Application

Apply with a CV, a short introduction telling us a little about yourself and why this role interests you, a portfolio or examples of content you’ve created; personal and self-directed projects are very welcome, and
links to your professional Instagram, TikTok or other relevant creative work, if applicable.

We’d particularly love to see work that demonstrates your own creative point of view, whether that’s a campaign, video, photography, styling, personal project or something you created simply because you had an idea and wanted to make it happen.
