JMC Costumes is expanding the team due to continued growth in the business, and we are looking for an experienced Creative Costume Maker / Machinist who can hit the ground running and confidently produce highly complex, bespoke garments to an exceptional standard. This is not an entry-level role; we are seeking someone with proven industry experience, strong technical ability, and confidence working with a wide range of materials and construction techniques.
For the right candidate, we expect to offer the top end of the banding level, reflecting the level of skill and experience required.
About the Role
The Costume Maker / Machinist will work as part of our busy workroom team, constructing individual garments from start to finish using working notes, drawings, patterns and design specifications. You’ll be responsible for managing your own workload, meeting deadlines, and maintaining excellent communication with the Team Lead.
This role requires someone who is technically skilled, highly organised, and able to work independently while contributing to a positive, high-output studio environment.
