As we ramp up our growth plans, we are looking for a detail-oriented and data-driven E-commerce Assistant to support the management of our website and app.

We are seeking a proactive, creative E-Commerce Assistant to assist in managing the website and app merchandising and operations, content optimisation, and product visibility.  The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring high-volume products are strategically positioned while ensuring the overall website content is aligned with SEO best practices.  The E-Commerce Assistant will work closely with the Head of Marketing and Product teams to analyse product performance, update content, and ensure the best customer experience by optimising product descriptions, visuals, and navigation.

Key Responsibilities

Content Operations & Content Optimisation:

  • Partner with Marketing to plan content updates to the Home feed and other categories on site for Linzi web and app based on the Marketing calendar.
  • Manage Shopify backend for all website content, ensuring product descriptions, images, and details are always updated and optimised for conversion.
  • Be the Go-to Market lead for all onsite product launches and campaigns.
  • Manage all Product and Banner content on the Shopify backend.
  • On advice of the Marketing Executive, apply SEO best practices to product descriptions, metadata, images, and pages to enhance visibility in search results.

Website Merchandising:

  • Taking insight from Product performance and Buying team analysis, overseeing and updating website and app merchandising, ensuring high-volume products are prominently displayed, high conviction products are given adequate page views and strategise on slow sellers.
  • Manage the VM of product pages with the most traffic.
  • A/B where necessary to strategise the best merchandising tactics for conversion.
  • Partner with Tech team to implement personalisation and other merchandising automations and improvements to the app and website, to increase conversion rate.
  • Continuously monitor and analyse the customer journey to identify opportunities for content optimisation and user experience improvements.

Analytics & Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Use Shopify to track performance of product pages, content engagement, and conversion rate metrics and optimising as such.
  • Make data-driven decisions based on content performance and customer behaviour, updating merchandising and content strategies to improve visibility and sales.
  • Regularly report onsite performance back to the business for continuous learning and optimisation.
  • Partner with Marketing to monitor bounce rate and drop off and strategise solutions and fixes.
  • Onsite Customer-Experience Champion
  • Ensure that the website and app offer a seamless and intuitive shopping experience, from first click to checkout, with regularly updated and optimised content.
  • Report on and monitor competitor feature releases, updates and campaigns to stay current and relevant.
  • Work on improving navigation, filters, and search functionality based on data insights and user feedback, ensuring customers can easily find and purchase products.
  • Be the point of contact for all onsite errors and bugs, ensuring timely fixes with internal Tech team and Shopify partners.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure website content and merchandising align with product launches, marketing storytelling and hero products.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure product visuals are fresh, consistent, and aligned with Linzi’s brand aesthetics.

Who You Are

  • At least 1 year's experience in an e-commerce environment within fashion or adjacent retail categories.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable with spreadsheets. 
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions to continuously improve content, visibility, and conversions is a must.
  • A shopper with a keen attention to detail. You will be obsessive about the eCommerce customer journey and champion top class customer experience.
  • Strong organisational and presentation skills.
  • A great operator with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage content updates across multiple channels.
  • A keen interest in eCommerce trends, staying abreast of Shopify advances and the competitor landscape in an ever-evolving eCommerce landscape.
  • Experience with Shopify and understanding of content management back end would be highly favoured, but full training will be provided.
