About: WE ❤ SOCKS

Our family business focuses on designing personality-led socks with a nod to British and European humour and culture. You can find our full collection online or visit us in-store - we love meeting fellow sock lovers!

Socktopus is looking for a hands-on E-Commerce Supervisor to be at the centre of the ecommerce fulfilment operation, ensuring every order leaves the warehouse accurately and on time.

The E-Commerce Supervisor will be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail matters and deadlines are real, especially when courier collections are involved.  You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day flow of orders, from picking and packing through to dispatch, helping ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Core Responsibilities of the E-Commerce Supervisor:

  • Order Fulfilment: Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all deadlines for courier collections are met.
  • Stock Control & Management: Using our in-house system to receive, scan and organise stock. Carrying out regular ad hoc counts and supporting full stock takes twice per year to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Customer Service: Managing customer queries via email, including tracking requests, order changes, returns and refunds.
  • Systems & Tools: Working with platforms such as Shopify and shipping software like Royal Mail Click & Drop to manage orders and dispatch.
  • Team Support: Working as part of a team and helping organise temporary staff during peak periods (Q4), ensuring the warehouse continues to run effectively.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitoring stock of essential supplies such as mail bags, labels, stationery and printer ink, and flagging when reordering is needed.

What Socktopus is looking for:

  • Experienced in Ecommerce Fulfilment: You have experience working in a warehouse or DTC ecommerce environment.
  • Detail-Focused: You take pride in getting things right the first time and understand the importance of accuracy in customer orders.
  • Organised & Reliable: You are comfortable managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines and keeping things running smoothly.
  • System Confident: You have experience using Shopify and shipping platforms, or similar systems.
  • Team Player: You work well as part of a team and are happy to support others, especially during busy periods.
  • Flexibility: You understand that peak trading periods require flexibility, including overtime and occasional weekend work.

The Team & Environment

The E-Commerce Supervisor will be part of a small, fast-moving team where everyone plays an important role. The warehouse and ecommerce operation is central to the business, so your work will have a direct impact on customer experience and brand reputation.

Why Socktopus?

We’re a growing, design-led brand with a strong ecommerce presence and a loyal customer base. This isn’t a role where you’re hidden in the background; you’ll be a key part of making sure Socktopus delivers on what it promises.

If you like things running properly, enjoy a fast-paced environment and don’t mind being surrounded by a lot of socks, you’ll fit in well here.
