The editorial assistant’s role is a varied position, requiring initiative, diplomacy, adaptability, discretion and energy. This is a 50/50 editorial/admin role working within a new, multi-national editorial team in London created to deepen our relationship with Vogue’s global audience.

Day to day responsibilities will include organising the Editor-in-Chief’s diary, arranging meetings, providing ad hoc support for a variety of requests around the office (including travel) as well as editorial duties like research, processing transcriptions, writing small pieces of copy, etc. You will be incredibly organised, proactive and resourceful, and able to work well on a variety of tasks simultaneously. Good communication skills are essential. You will be positive and able to interact comfortably with executives and visitors of all levels.

A passion and interest in the ever-changing fashion landscape is vital. A good grasp of a second language is highly desirable, together with an interest in fashion media and a passion for Condé Nast global activities. This is a very unusual opportunity to work with a growing team at one of the world’s most respected brands.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Excellent project management, organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Looking after the Editor-in-Chief’s calendar, organising meetings, booking team travel and providing general ad hoc support. 
  • Ability to research, transcribe interviews, as well as write, edit and optimise small pieces of copy.
  • Maintain and update the global editorial calendar as well as other department documents.
  • Manage all invoices for approval and ad hoc expenses for the EIC.
  • Quick learner and agile multi-tasker, must demonstrate proactive initiative and ability to think critically
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Comfortable interacting with senior or executive level staff across the organisation 
  • Strong competency level with Google Suite of apps: Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • Journalism/Communications/Fashion/ English Literature degree or equivalent
  • Passion and knowledge of the fashion, beauty and/or luxury industries
  • Ability to deliver excellent written copy within tight deadlines
  • Proof-reading skills are desirable
  • A collaborative working style
  • A level head when faced with new challenges
  • Discretion and confidentiality required
  • Fluency in a second language is highly desirable
