We’re looking for a passionate creative Designer to join the team at PrettyLittleThing. You will be responsible for designing ranges and collections across all fashion areas (soft and woven) and across short and long lead time frames. You will have a clear understanding of the PrettyLittleThing customer and will support the commercial targets of the organisation.

As a Designer you will be responsible for:

  • Completing research to pull together themes and trends.
  • Analysing high street trends.
  • Taking idea from concept, creating initial specifications through to production of initial samples.
  • Ensuring capability of team to work on short turn around as well as forward planning ranges for future seasons.
  • Delivering results with specified timeframes.
  • Working directly with overseas supplier to create collections.
  • Building and maintaining close links with buying and design team.
  • Developing more junior team members.
  • Being flexible regarding offshore travel predominately to the Far East

The ideal Designer will be extremely creative, innovative and will consistently strive to deliver results based on the PLT brand and customer.

You will be experienced in identifying and proposing potential new product opportunities. Your commercial awareness will be second to none and you will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of womenswear trends.

You will have:

  • The ability to prioritise workflow and ensure challenging deadlines are met, in line with critical path.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of working with other product teams and external suppliers to build productive relationships.
  • Proficient Computer skills including Microsoft Office and CAD: Photoshop, Adobe and Illustrator.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
