This is an exciting opportunity to join our creative team. We’re expanding our team and are looking to recruit a talented Garment Production Manager to join our in-house team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Planning, coordinating and managing the entire manufacturing process, ensuring goods are produced safely, cost-effectively, on time, meeting required quality standards.
  • Delivering across multiple product categories
  • Communicate daily and build relationships with Suppliers
  • Prepare costings and negotiate with factories to ensure target margins are reached
  • Source and analyse key suppliers whilst keeping supply base concise
  • Ensure all fabrics are selected, tested, and initially approved prior to new product introduction. Request and approve lab dips to order handover stage
  • Create packaging specifications for all new products where required, ensuring all suppliers & team members are clear and fully informed re correct packing and packaging requirements.
  • Work closely with the Directors in devising the seasonal strategy by supplier to maximise profits and provide commercial ranges at competitive price
  • Offer expert advice on construction and fabrics to reduce sampling requirements with the factories
  • Liaise with the apparel team, designers, various factories in the Far East & Europe, along with our in house team in all departments to ensure projects hit deadlines and launch effectively
  • Use internal software to manage the POs, invoices and product set up from factory to warehouse
  • Analyse sales, customer buying patterns and trends to guide quantity of buys by style and by size. Reviewing stock to react and reorder where needed

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' working in a similar production management role
  • Evidence of problem-solving skills to battle issues that arise in manufacturing and takes initiative at every opportunity
  • Experienced in negotiation of costs, MOQs and lead-times
  • Confident in understanding customer needs by brand (quality, pricing, sizing)
  • Experience of sourcing & cross costing: Evaluating trims and techniques to counter source
  • Strong relationship management and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite & Illustrator (Wrike advantageous)
  • Organised and confident with excellent communication skills
  • ‘Fashion sensibility’ - knowledge of trends, the market, the consumer and peer awareness
  • Strong understanding of fabric development
  • Excellent communication skills and able to build relationships at all levels within the organisation
  • An In-depth understanding of sampling & manufacturing procedures, factory sourcing and critical path management
  • Excellent understanding of garment construction & fabrication
  • Experience implementing process and new procedure/ways of working to achieve business goals
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
