About: Wynken is a unisex children's clothing brand from London (Deptford), founded in 2014 by Elbe Lealman. We create high-quality, imaginative clothing for children aged 6 months to 14 years, blending London’s eclectic spirit with comfort and practicality.

At Wynken, we celebrate self expression. We design clothes that move with children, reflect who they are, and allow them to play freely. Our designs inspire joy, creativity, and a sense of adventure.

We are at home in the world, though rooted in London. Wynken has a global presence. Our largest market is South Korea, followed by Europe, Japan, USA and China.

Wynken is looking for a full-time Garment Technician to join the team in London.

The Garment Technician will play an important role in bringing Wynken’s designs to life, ensuring each garment stays true to the original vision while being beautifully made, considered, and ready for production.

Working closely with our Design, Pattern Cutting, Production and Supplier teams, the Garment Technician will help translate creative ideas into well-fitting, well-constructed garments.  From the first sample through to production, the successful applicant will bring a technical eye to fit, construction, finish and detail, helping the team find practical solutions and keeping the quality of the product at the heart of every decision.

The Garment Technician will also help guide the technical development process, making sure patterns, samples and production garments meet the agreed specifications and that clear, useful technical feedback is shared along the way.

As a childrenswear brand, safety and compliance are an important part of what we do.  The Garment Technician will help ensure our garments meet the relevant international legal, safety and testing requirements, working with our teams and suppliers to make sure these considerations are built into the development process from the start.

Responsibilities of the Garment Technician

Bringing Designs to Life:

  • Work closely with the Design team to turn creative ideas into beautifully made, technically considered garments.
  • Help shape construction, finishes and manufacturing techniques so that the final product feels true to the original vision while meeting the quality and performance we expect.

Champion Fit & Product Development:

  • Partner with our Pattern Cutters to achieve the right fit, proportions, grading and overall shape.
  • Lead fit sessions with a thoughtful and practical approach, spotting issues early and finding solutions that work for both the design and the garment.

Garment Quality Protection:

  • Review samples and production garments with a keen eye for fit, measurements, construction, workmanship and finishing.
  • Make sure what comes off the line reflects the approved design, specifications and the quality standards we want for Wynken.

Relationships with Production and suppliers:

  • Work closely with our Production teams and suppliers to bring technical requirements to life clearly and consistently.
  • Be hands-on when challenges come up, working collaboratively to troubleshoot issues and find simple, effective solutions.

Strong Technical Foundations:

  • Develop and maintain clear, accurate technical specifications, measurement standards, construction details and fit requirements.
  • Make sure childrenswear safety, legal and compliance requirements are considered throughout development, and coordinate the right testing for our international markets.

Learning and Making Things Better:

  • Stay curious and up to date with childrenswear regulations, testing standards and technical developments across our key markets.
  • Share knowledge and ideas, and continuously look for ways to improve our fit, construction, quality and technical ways of working.
