Tagged Resources client, a successful fashion supplier whose customers include Saltrock, Bon Marche, Juicy Couture, and French Connection, to name a few, is looking for a can-do, positive Garment Technologist to join the team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established importer of white-label and bespoke ladieswear and menswear.  Working closely with the design team and factories, ensuring all work is approved and production runs efficiently and on time.

The role of Garment Technologist:

• Measuring and fitting all samples during the development process in collaboration with the designer/customer
• Developing size charts/grading
• Sending clear comments to factories: Proto, SMS, PP, Shipment
• Updating product workbooks with comprehensive fit comments and sample feedback, providing technical instructions to the supply base
• Ensuring samples are chased up and are on time to ensure critical path and delivery dates are met
• Attending fit sessions in-house
• Ensuring that the garments are being produced to the required quality standard
• Reviewing AQL/ final inspections
• Investigating, evaluating and rectifying any subsequent problems within the life of a product, ensuring all relevant personnel are informed
• Liaising with suppliers and factories during production to ensure technical issues are supported with clear and timely decisions to ensure shipment dates are achieved
• Liaising with designers and suppliers to offer technical guidance on new product development with the aim of reducing costs and improving quality;
• Promoting quality at all times whilst maintaining a strong commercial attitude

What Tagged Resources is looking for:

• A technically oriented qualification
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role in a fast-paced environment
• Multi-product experience, able to move between product areas with assurance
• Comprehensive knowledge of fitting and resolving fit issues
• Pattern-cutting knowledge and practice is very desirable alongside the knowledge of grading and grade rules
• First-class communication skills; experience of working with different cultures and the challenges this can bring
• Able to work independently and as part of a team as the role requires
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook effectively
