Manage the inventory at store and option level for a specific product area to maximise sales and profitability by ensuring the allocation of stock to the right place, at the right time and in the right quantity.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of communication with the core merchandising team and imports to ensure that weekly stock intake fits with the core team strategy;
  • Accurate and timely allocation of all initial POs for the UK;
  • Awareness of launch tracker position and full responsibility for ensuring lines are 100% allocated in time for new season launches;
  • Management of split shipments, short shipments and communication of actions required from DC team;
  • Communicate effectively with International and Web team to clearly communicate actions around short and split shipments;
  • Commercial management of rebuys. Seek guidance from product teams on re-buy allocation strategy. Challenge ranging and advise on performance by store;
  • Sound management of replenishment parameters, seeing through to pick and dispatch, reacting to trade reactions quickly, taking into account all factors affecting trade – promos, markdown events, repricing, school holidays etc;
  • Attend weekly Allocation meeting with core merchandising team to discuss the following: agreed branch stocks and build volumes, re-buys due in and ranging options;
  • Ad Hoc Branch analysis;
  • Assist with timely compilation and distribution of Monday reports and daily sales; and
  • Responsible for improving and streamlining allocation and reporting processes
