The graduate trainee will support the Footwear Design team in developing new ideas and the collection, gaining experience in the everyday running of a busy Footwear Design team in a fast-paced, high-end luxury design house.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive work and briefs from the senior designer to research and develop new concepts and designs.
• Support the research of new shoes for shape, construction and details.
• Produce internal 3D mock-ups in a timely manner for presentations.
• Update weekly shoe collection plan.
• Produce renderings and CAD drawings of footwear designs for approval.
• Maintenance of digital design server.
• Ensure the studio archive is kept organised.
• General organisation of the department and support to the design team.
• Working on specs for suppliers in Italy
• Making Photoshop designs for shapes, details and heels/ soles

What Phoebe Philo is looking for:

• Degree level in design.
• Experience and interest in fashion and Footwear Design.
• Good knowledge of fashion.
• Computer skills, including proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Experience working in 3D.
• Proven ability to sketch.
• Technical capability to create mock-ups.
• Understanding of leathers and fabrics.
• Collaborative team player with strong initiative.
• High level of creativity.
• Flexible and adaptable.
• Strong organisational skills.
