The HR Administrator is an integral role within the HR function and will act as the first point of contact for any HR admin related queries. The role will involve supporting the employee lifecycle and administering all changes across the business, whilst also maintaining employee files. Key stakeholders will include Hunter employees at all levels and external partners or providers to administer recruitment costs.

The person

The ideal person for this role will have a keen interest in a career in HR and will have a hunger to learn, preferably in the apparel and fashion industry. Hunter has a fast-paced working environment, so you’ll have a great eye for detail, with a determined attitude to produce work to a high standard and the ability to work under pressure.

You’ll have a proactive attitude in responding to queries, seeking advice and escalating cases when necessary. Additionally, you’ll have alongside excellent communication skills, being confident in communicating with employees at all levels and partners/providers via email, phone and face-to-face. In the world of HR confidentiality is key, so you’ll understand the importance of this and act professionally and discretely around others.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Assist in day-to-day operations of the HR functions & duties.
  • Be the first point of contact for employee administration queries and escalating queries, when necessary.
  • Be accountable for all administration for new starters, leavers and any changes within the business.     
  • Administer employee benefits.
  • Complete HR onboarding induction.
  • Maintain all employee files and data.
  • Perform file audits to ensure that all employee information is kept relevant, up to date and compliant with GDPR legislation.
  • Maintain employee related reports & spreadsheets & tracking trends.
  • Gather employee feedback following whole business meetings/updates and providing key trends.
  • Be a super-user of the HR system (PeopleHR).
  • Raise Purchase Orders
  • Generate employee letters.
  • Facilitate resolutions for any Payroll errors.
  • Assist with exit interviews for junior level roles.
  • Support the HR team in projects and developing HR initiatives, as and when required.

  • Sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines and able to work diligently under pressure.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Must be dependable, open to feedback and willing to learn. 

Desirable:

  • Strong excel skills and already obtained or studying a degree in HR or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Relevant HR work experience gained in a retail or FMCG HR team working environment.
