Tagged Resources' client is looking for an Import Merchandiser to support their buying and merchandising operations in the Manchester area.
Working closely with overseas suppliers and internal teams, you will oversee orders from placement through to delivery, monitor production progress and coordinate shipments to ensure products arrive on time and meet quality standards
The role of Important Merchandiser:
- Manage purchase orders from placement through to final delivery, ensuring all order details are accurate and up to date
- Liaise with overseas suppliers to track orders, resolve shipping queries and maintain strong relationships
- Manage critical paths, track production milestones, including sample approvals, bulk production, quality inspections, shipment and final delivery.
- Check and approve supplier invoices and packing lists, ensuring accurate documents and timely payments
- Monitor stock level quantities and identify discrepancies as required.
- Coordinate production and deliveries to meet marketing campaigns, product launches and key dates for in-house brand development
- Create and maintain seasonal Excel trackers and reports
- Actively review supplier capacities and fabric planning
What Tagged Resources is looking for:
- Confident user of Microsoft Excel and fast adopter of customer 3rd-party portals
- Experience working with Far East production teams
- Proven critical path and delivery schedule management experience
- Previous experience in Menswear and Kidswear is desirable
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Positive, proactive team player with a desire to learn and develop
