Richard Quinn is seeking a highly talented Junior Designer with exceptional hand-drawing skills to join the design team in Bermondsey South.

Suitable applicants will be designers who can combine creativity, technical accuracy, and speed, with a particular focus on luxury gowns, bridalwear, couture, and bespoke client projects.

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Designer:

• Produce clear, accurate technical drawings of gowns to scale and in the Richard Quinn house style.
• Create beautiful final fashion illustrations for bridal, couture, and bespoke clients.
• Develop bespoke design decks, adapting runway styles with alternative colours, fabrics, cuts, silhouettes, embroidery placements, and print options for client selection.
• Generate creative design ideas for seasonal collections, taking direction from the Creative Director and contributing to the development of new silhouettes, gown shapes, and product concepts.
• Translate hand sketches into polished digital artwork using Photoshop, producing multiple colourways, embroidery options, and print variations efficiently and to a high standard.
• Work with both freehand sketches and Richard Quinn's in-house templates to communicate design ideas clearly and professionally.
• Support the design team with fast, organised, and accurate visual presentations throughout the design and development process.

• Confident drawing freehand and capable of producing beautiful, proportionally accurate fashion illustrations quickly and clearly.
• Exceptional freehand fashion illustration skills with a strong understanding of proportion, movement, and garment construction.
• A highly skilled illustrator and designer who can move seamlessly between concept development, hand sketching, digital rendering, and client presentation, producing clear, elegant, and inspiring design work with both speed and precision.
• Ability to sketch quickly, confidently, and clearly by hand.
• Strong technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced Photoshop skills, with the ability to efficiently colour, render, and develop multiple design options from hand-drawn sketches.
• Experience creating client-facing design presentations and luxury fashion illustrations.
• Strong understanding of couture, bridalwear, eveningwear, embroidery, print, and embellishment.
• Ability to work at a pace while maintaining a consistently high standard of presentation.
• Creative, organised, and capable of interpreting direction while contributing original ideas.
• Passion for designing beautiful gowns and silhouettes that women aspire to wear, in keeping with the Richard Quinn aesthetic.
