About: Completedworks is an award-winning jewellery and homeware label based in Marylebone, London. Working primarily from recycled materials, Completedworks’ pieces have been worn by brilliant women from many disciplines including poets, artists, activists and actors such as Adwoa Aboah, Jodie Comer, Emma Watson and Maya Rudolph, as well as been auctioned in a contemporary designer sale at Christie’s New York.

Completedworks is looking for a talented Junior Jewellery Designer to join our team on a part-time basis, supporting the creation of jewellery collections from concept to completion.

Based in Marylebone, London, the successful applicant will be an instrumental part of developing and driving the brand forward and, as part of a small team, will be expected to be adaptable, conscientious and detail-oriented.  

Responsibilities of the Junior Jewellery Designer include:

  • Thorough research of collection themes and concepts as directed by the Creative Director;
  • Working closely with the Creative Director to interpret and develop initial design concepts as well as explore new materials;
  • Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for each design, including materials, stone settings, and finishes;
  • Produce high-quality 3D CAD models and renderings using industry-standard software;
  • Produce physical samples where needed to support prototyping or development;
  • Review and providing feedback on design samples;
  • Provide input on construction techniques, wearability, and feasibility where required;
  • Revise and refine designs based on feedback and samples;
  • Maintain organised design files and documentation throughout the design process;
  • Multitasking around the fast-paced process of building and presenting collections to a strict schedule;
  • Creating and keeping up-to-date collection overviews and design boards throughout the season;
  • Updating an archive of reference material for all collections;
  • Working collaboratively with all key departments including the sales team to respond
    to business and market needs.

What Completedworks is looking for…

Required:

  • Degree in jewellery design or proven experience as a junior jewellery designer with a strong portfolio, particularly in CAD and 3D modelling
  • Proficient with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and 3D CAD software 
  • Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes and materials
  • Ability to read and create detailed technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to take direction and work independently
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong concept, research and creative skills
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to produce a high volume of work quickly and to a high standard
  • Interest in the world of Completedworks and a passion for luxury goods
  • Interest in and commitment to sustainable practices.
