Junior Merchandiser - Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Senior Merchandiser with the planning and trading of the product ranges. This means assisting with sales and stock analysis, and communicating this to the wider business.
• Provide detailed and insightful analysis on stock and sales, sharing this widely, communicating learnings clearly and effectively and assisting in the trading of the business.
• Assist with the forecasting and trading of your categories, building strong relationships across departments and continuously seeking to understand sales performance and to understand customers better.
• Ensure that all department documents are kept accurate and updated and create/maintain robust sales data to base future buy quantities on.

Junior Merchandiser - Person specification:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within Merchandising, say in a retail head office environment
• Academic qualification in a mathematical or analytical subject.
• Experience of working in a retail or multi-channel environment
• Outstanding level of numeracy and speed of understanding.
• Enjoys working with people and is able to build relationships across the business.
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills with all levels of the company and the ability to engage others.
• Logical thinker with a questioning approach
• Experience using merchandising systems and Microsoft Excel
