We are hiring a Junior Videographer to work within our Talent Development team. The Talent Development team passionately creates video content for our internal learning platform. Our mission is to deliver accessible, fun and bite-size learning to colleagues throughout our Footasylum Family.

You will be working alongside the department's Content Manager to deliver high-quality video content across Head Office, Retail stores and the Distribution Centre. The role also offers the opportunity to work with various departments on different projects and internal promotional content for the broader HR department.

Footasylum strongly believes in the digital approach to our learning offering, so this is a great opportunity to join our team as a Junior Videographer. The role is based out of our Head Office in Rochdale. However, the nature of the work will require you to be flexible and work across our multiple sites if needed.

The Team

The Talent Development team is part of a wider Human Resources department. Your role will also allow you to support projects with the videography team in our studio.

Reporting to the department's Content Manager, you will have oversight of wider projects and be able to have your say on project work as well as the future of how we deliver our content to our colleagues in the business.

We are passionate about your development, and we are keen for you to learn new skills. Footasylum will enable you to gain experience in areas you feel passionate about plus excel in confidence in your working practices. You will be encouraged and supported through your projects by the team and the wider business to realise your full potential.

About You

You'll need to be determined, visually educated and knowledgeable culturally and within the video profession. You want work that gets spoken about at both audience and industry level.

You will need to be unfazed by a busy Studio environment and comfortable working in a fast- paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Keen and willingness to learn and progress up through the video team
  • Basic knowledge of editing software (DaVincvi Resolve, Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro)
  • Basic knowledge of cameras (Arri Alexa, Red, BlackMagic & Sony)
  • Good awareness of the social, digital and content landscape
  • Pro-Active approach to work
  • Good people skills and communication

Why Footasylum?

We are one of the leading omni-channel retailers across the UK, but more than that we are a brilliant place to work. We value you and your development. We have loads of examples of people moving upwards, across to other departments and given training to excel their personal and professional skills. Our aim is to create a fun environment, where your success is paramount to ours and you are given the right tools, support and platform to achieve your goals.

Diversity

We recognise and value the importance of diversity to help make sure we have lots of different perspectives when we are building products and services. We know that this will help us build useful and accessible things which our customers will love. This is great news for our business. Diversity for us is also, importantly, about building happy teams full of people that want to learn and want to be inspired by each other and our different experiences.

Recruitment Process

We review applications on an individual basis, and if we feel you would be a good fit we’ll invite you for a call or Teams video for an informal chat about the role, and to see if we’re a good fit for you. We value open and honest conversations and collaboration, giving you a chance to learn about what we are doing in an informal and friendly environment. We want to know about you and why you feel that this is the opportunity for you.

Please note, this is not a remote role and our expectation is that you will be able to attend Head Office in a hybrid way, in Greater Manchester.
