About: The Goodhood Store opened its doors on a backstreet in Hoxton, Shoreditch in September 2007. Started as a self initiated, self funded project to curate some of the finest clothing collections and objects from around the world, it's initial purpose was to support like minded brands from around the world who shared our ideas of independence, exclusivity and quality.

Shortly there after came the webstore which has grown to becoming an industry leading website and along with the store carries some of the worlds most prestigious lines. An ongoing collaboration with R. Newbold started in 2008 and reaching into it's 4th year has been an integral part of defining the Goodhood Store aesthetic; each season a capsule collection is produced offering The Goodhoods Stores own take on the effortlessly style now synonymous with the store.

Reporting to the Buying Manger, the Junior Womenswear Buyer will play an important role in curation and sourcing of brands and product selection. An understanding of Goodhood culture is essential. The buyer will need to identify trends and source new brands. Ability to curate buys by brand ensuring all orders are selected with the Goodhood customer in mind. Commercial focus is essential to deliver the sale-through target set each season.

Key objectives and role:

  • Planning and selection of Women's clothing, footwear and accessories.
  • Negotiating favourable terms for Goodhood.
  • Owning and delivering against buying budgets, OTB and sale through.
  • Building strong relationships with all suppliers.
  • Researching competitor analysis and ability to trend predict.
  • Oversee online product copy and categorisation of all new products live on site.

Requirements:

  • 2 years' experience in women's buying
  • Worked within Women's luxury fashion retail sector
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • Ability to recognise relevant trends
  • Creative and Analytical
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Good communicator
