About: FANBOD is a new womenswear label, playfully reclaiming the female form as a source of power, not punishment. Founded by designer Fan Yu Shih, FANBOD’s debut collection is a love letter to the body in all its forms, as well as a challenge to anyone who tries to diminish those forms. Born in Taiwan, raised in Singapore, and based in London, Fan is committed to making clothes that give confidence to the millions of women across the globe who are increasingly pushing back against impossible beauty ideals.

FANBOD is a wholly inclusive brand that’s as much about finally coming home to your body as it is about finding practical, comfortable solutions to everyday – and out of the everyday.

FANBOD is entering a new creative chapter, and we’re looking for a creative, organised Junior Designer to support the design and development of our womenswear collections in London.

Our new direction centres on confident, sensual dressing, with fluid silhouettes, expressive colour, considered fabric combinations and distinctive details across occasionwear and separates.

Working closely with the Senior Creative Designer and Product Director, the Junior Designer will contribute ideas and help turn concepts into designs, clear technical drawings and well-developed samples.

 The role of Junior Designer:

  • Support seasonal research, mood boards, colour palettes and design presentations.
  • Contribute design ideas and develop sketches under the Senior Designer’s direction.
  • Create and update technical CADs, including front and back views, construction details and colourways.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate tech packs and bills of materials in Zedonk Studio, clearly recording design revisions.
  • Support fabric and trim sourcing, finding and matching suitable materials to individual designs.
  • Request swatches and supplier information, including prices, availability, colours, minimum orders and lead times.
  • Organise the fabric catalogue, swatches, design files and sample records.
  • Maintain collection range plans and keep product information up to date.
  • Support sample reviews and fittings, record comments and update design documentation.
  • Help communicate approved design details and revisions to pattern cutters, suppliers and factories.
  • Follow up on outstanding information and samples to support development deadlines.

What Fanbod is looking for:

  • A fashion design degree or relevant practical industry placement experience in womenswear.
  • A portfolio showing creative ideas, technical vector CAD drawings and a solid understanding of garment construction.
  • Confident using Adobe Illustrator to create accurate technical CADs (front, back, and construction callouts).
  • Experience preparing tech packs and Bills of Materials (BOMs), with an eagerness to master systems like Zedonk.
  • A good eye for silhouette, colour, fabrics and detail, with an affinity for confident, contemporary womenswear.
  • Organised, proactive and attentive to detail, with the ability to follow tasks through independently.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively, taking feedback and contributing ideas in a busy studio.
