Are you passionate about fashion, with a sharp eye for detail and a flair for technical design?  Doroty Dafne Designs has an exciting opportunity for a highly organised Junior Garment Technologist to join the team on a freelance basis. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Development - Working alongside design to bring client’s concepts to life.
• Tech Packs - Create detailed tech packs that ensure clear and accurate instructions for the manufacturer to produce high quality samples. Familiar using templates on Adobe Illustrator and able to adapt. 
• Fit Sessions - Support in conducting fit sessions including taking notes, photographs and measuring samples. 
• Grading - Assist with grading specs and ensure size consistency across styles
• Quality Control - Work with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure fabric, trims, and construction methods meet correct quality standards.

Beneficial:

• Digital Pattern Cutting - Drafting patterns and making necessary modifications for accurate fit and design specifications.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Garment Technologist in a similar womenswear role.
• Possess a fashion technology degree (or similar).
• Based in/near London and available to travel to in-person fit sessions when necessary. 
• Flexible and able to be available for quick turnaround projects.
• Attention to detail and recognises the importance of this in design. 
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills. 
• Excellent communication skills. 
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Numbers
