Job Description: 

Consigned Sealed Delivered is looking for a meticulous, experienced Luxury Goods Authenticator & Quality Controller who specialises in quality control of luxury goods to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and authenticity of our second-hand luxury items.  The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining our brand's integrity and will play a pivotal role in our consignment process

Responsibilities:

• Appraisal of Luxury Items: Accurately assess and evaluate second-hand luxury goods, including but not limited to designer handbags, watches, jewelry, clothing, and accessories  to verify their condition and authenticity.
• Quality Control: Ensure that items meet our quality standards and are in suitable condition for resale. Identify wear, damage, or defects, and provide recommendations for refurbishment or repair.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to maintain consistency and accuracy in evaluating second-hand products.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers, addressing their concerns, resolving issues, and answering questions about products and services.
• Documentation: Create meticulous records of the quality control process, including product details, condition, and images that can be used for third-party authentication sites.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements to the quality control process to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
• Communication: Collaborate with the purchasing team to provide feedback on product condition and value. Communicate any discrepancies, issues, or concerns promptly and clearly.
• Authentication: Ensure the authenticity and quality of luxury goods by performing thorough inspections, verifying brand markings, materials, and craftsmanship. This includes analyzing product details against established authenticity guidelines, utilising specialised tools and methods to identify counterfeit goods, and maintaining the integrity of high-end product standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a similar role. 
• Strong knowledge of luxury brands and products. 
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to assess quality accurately.
• Strong research and analytical skills. 
• Effective communication. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Passion for luxury fashion and a commitment to staying updated with industry developments. 
• Preferably, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field
