We are seeking a proactive, experienced Cutter to work in a luxury East London designer workroom, cutting Women’s Ready to Wear garments.  You will work closely with Pattern Cutters and Production and Studio Managers to ensure that high production standards are met.  You will also be cutting garments for VIP and fashion show collections.  This role requires a candidate who is proactive and calm, even when working under pressure.  

We are open to part-time and freelance scheduling as well.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manual cutting with scissors, and cutting with rotary machine
• Strong technical knowledge and experience of garment construction, pattern cutting and textiles across various womenswear categories
• Knowledge of grading is helpful
• Maintaining a high level of quality control for pattern and garments within the studio and at a production level
• Ability to work under pressure and extended hours leading up to fashion shows 

Key Attributes:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience working with garment construction in workrooms or factories
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
• Able to work with speed and accuracy
• Personable and dependable team player 
• Great verbal communication skills
