At Harding+, our Merchandisers play a key role in driving performance across a truly global retail business. Working across multiple cruise lines and international markets, you’ll be part of a team that manages complex stock flows, seasonal trading cycles, and fast-paced commercial decisions.

We’re looking for a Merchandiser (12-month FTC) to join our Buying & Merchandising team in Avonmouth. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a category, develop your commercial impact, and gain exposure to a unique global retail model.

This role would suit an experienced Merchandiser, or a strong Senior Assistant Merchandiser ready to step up into full category ownership.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact role with real ownership, where you’ll take responsibility for planning, trading, and stock investment decisions within your category.

What the Merchandiser will do:

• Own WSSI and Open to Buy, aligning performance to sales, margin, and growth targets
• Lead weekly and seasonal trade reviews, identifying risks and opportunities
• Make forecasting and intake decisions that directly influence global sales performance
• Work closely with Buying, Operations, Warehouse teams, and suppliers to deliver strong stock flow
• Full category ownership in a global retail environment

• Exposure to international markets, mutiple brands, and complex trading dynamics

• In travel retail, timing is critical. You’ll gain exposure to a fast-moving, international environment where decisions need to be both commercially sound and operationally practical.

As this is a maternity cover role, there may be potential to explore future opportunities within Harding+ depending on business needs and performance.

About You

You are:

• A Merchandiser, or strong Senior Assistant Merchandiser ready to step up
• Experienced in WSSI and Open to Buy at category or sub-category level
• Confident leading trade reviews and managing stock risk
• Commercially minded, with the ability to interpret data and make decisions
• You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing analytical thinking with practical decision-making, and collaborating across teams to deliver results.

Experience in fashion, lifestyle, or own-brand retail is beneficial. Exposure to complex supply chains or seasonal trading environments is also advantageous.
