About: The Catherine Walker & Co design atelier is based in Bury Walk, a pretty Chelsea mews where seven large studios are run on Parisian lines with separate workrooms devoted to tailoring, dressmaking and with addition skilled craftsmen and women employed for embroidery.

Catherine Walker seeks a proactive, enthusiastic, highly presentable Office & Showroom Assistant with very strong written and verbal communication skills to join the team in Chelsea, London.

The Office & Showroom Assistant will be pivotal in assisting within the showroom, production office and atelier, playing an integral part by supporting the day-to-day running of all company areas.  This will include collaborating closely with colleagues daily, contributing to a cohesive, collaborative team environment and elevating the standards of excellence by ensuring tasks are completed efficiently with an open and positive outlook.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Daily stock checks and re-ordering of all necessary supplies in the office, showroom and atelier.
  • Organisation of materials in the atelier and office to ensure areas are clean and conducive to the smooth running of a busy atelier.
  • Assisting with PR requests for celebrity dressing/ photoshoots.
  • Assisting with sourcing components, haberdashery and other materials necessary for the timely completion of MTO pieces.
  • Administrative office tasks to ensure compliance regarding keyholding and health & safely documentation.
  • Assisting with photoshoots and creating content for social media channels.
  • Providing professional and confident communication across internal departments and wider client outreach.
  • Maintain an organised and detail-oriented approach when completing tasks, ensuring efficiency and diligence.

Requirements:

  • A university-level degree in a fashion-related subject.
  • An understanding of different fabrics, patterns and the production of womenswear
  • An interest in couture fashion and a passion for upholding company values with the highest standards of luxury.
  • Excellent time management to manage and prioritise daily workload.
  • Self-motivated to complete tasks in line with tight deadlines and company needs.
  • Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
