We have an opening for an entry-level Online Trading Assistant to join team Hobbs in achieving our short, medium and long-term ecommerce objectives.
The Online Trading Assistant plays a key support role within the Online Partners team, ensuring the smooth coordination of product launches, data and imagery integrity, trade reporting, and partner website optimisation. This role is ideal for someone highly organised, commercially aware, and detail-oriented - with a passion for ecommerce and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities of the Online Trading Assistant:
Maintaining the on-site product journey across the UK and international websites, including:
Ensuring all product available, taking ownership of launch process
Visual merchandising of product pages, ensuring optimum position and maximum commercial exposure of all products based on analytics, trading requirements and stock availability
Completing daily site checks to ensure optimised and commercial trading experience
Maintaining accurate type and style information in line with business requirements and best industry practices
Ensuring all products are assigned to all relevant categories
Creating new categories and content, and updating headers, header links, SEO URLs, breadcrumbs and meta data, in the CMS
Maintaining and archiving product categories as needed and ensuring the internal architecture document is kept up to date
Assisting the Senior Ecommerce Assistant with content briefing, testing and loading in the CMS
Taking the lead on promotional and sale set up
Assist in completing weekly and ad hoc reporting, providing key category and product insight and taking sale and promotional activity in to account
Carry out ad-hoc analysis to review how our brand sits with competitors and understand how this affects trade – including product ranges, prices, and marketing
Attending weekly trading meetings to agree plan of action with Ecommerce trading team and other teams to ensure all opportunities are maximised and any risks highlighted and mitigated against
Review and communicate actions for best / worst sellers and category opportunity weekly
Develop productive relationships with relevant departments to ensure all product information is accurate and any risks are highlighted
Develop industry and best practice knowledge of multi-channel trading
From time to time supporting the team in other digital activities as required
