A rare and exciting opportunity to join our womenswear online team as an Online Trading Assistant!

As an Online Trading Assistant you will focus on trading womenswear on next.co.uk, ensuring that the customer journey rivals competitors and drives sales at a fast pace. With exceptional commercial understanding you’ll help to identify and suggest ways to grow Next womenswear sale through digital marketing. You will work closely with the womenswear Trading Manager and Head of eCommerce Trading.

You will work alongside a range of other business areas within Next including online content teams, various marketing teams, buyers and merchandisers to use your knowledge on product to drive key online strategies.

A dynamic and organised person you’ll be able to deliver to tight deadlines and identify new opportunities and initiatives that will drive sales and improve our ways of working.

About the role:

  • Continually review how we promote products across all our websites and other marketing platforms.
  • With exceptional commercial understanding you’ll help to identify and suggest ways to create a more engaging online experience for our customers.
  • You’ll use your knowledge of search, navigation and commercial layout to make sure our online offering is always the best around.
  • Support the Trading Manager and wider online team with product and project launches.
  • Analyse sales, finding opportunities to further enhance the website and maximise sales. Analyse key online metrics to understand opportunities to enhance and improve customer journeys and conversion.
  • Continually review search results and pages with a view to optimise. Identifying opportunities to improve low conversion or high bounce rates.
  • Drive forward marketing opportunities and initiatives that will enhance a products online commercial appeal.
  • You will optimise the online funnel, determining right products, content and structure to get customer through the shopping journey as quickly as possible whilst maximising average order value.
  • Work with the product teams to suggest and drive forward strong product imagery for homepages, emails and marketing that best reflect sales and trends.
  • Work to create and maintain the marketing plan and ensure it is executed on time.
  • Identify, implement and drive commercial improvements through your insights.
  • Strive to make Next a market leader.

About you:

  • Analytical and comfortable with large volumes of data.
  • A keen eye for good design in order to implement the most effective visual approach for our websites.
  • Organised, thorough and excited by a challenge you’ll work well in a busy and fast moving retail environment.
  • Good at prioritising workload to meet requirements and tight deadlines.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good communication skills & able to effectively work with members of both the immediate and wider team, at varying levels
  • Highly motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude who is able to work under pressure in a faced paced environment.
  • Experience of working in an online environment and/or trading & merchandising
  • Keen interest in Fashion and awareness of the latest trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint & Google applications
